News on my work

bout 5 mins ago, just had a phone call from the lady i showed my work to for the east yorkshire NHS, and she has just told to put it quickly, that they had a meeting today and the person she should my work to really liked it, and now they have took it to show the marketing of the pct, and they are going to look how they could market it.

So fingers crossed i could have some work out there, for the pct, which i am super happy about

Screen Printing

Over the summer me and my friend kirk have planned to build a screen printing press. Today we went round Driffield looking for bits and bobs we needed and no where had anything we where both like actual fuck, however we got got some scrap bits of wood and started to build the base of it with the hinge, which shud have been round a 10 min job, has taken use a good part of the day. So so far with have the base with hinge's and frame however we are still a bit stuck on how to keep the screen in place within the frame, but i reckon we will get to that later on haha

got some old film cameras which where my grandads, so just been trying them outtook 3 rolls to get developed, but only one has come out haha and only a few of the pics are ok, so i reckon i will put one or 2 up on here when i get round to uploading them, as i am lazy

Final show went really well last night, it was really nice to see ever one and ever ones work up.

I sold one of my posters, and had some interest in my work which i am very pleased about.

Final Major Prpject

These are my final posters for my Final Major Project for college, they are a series of posters just providing people with information about drugs, drink and smoking, the posters are not an anti drugs, drink smoking campaign, they are more a series of poster which provide you with facts which you might not have know about some of the drugs ect, so you can make you own mind up about them.

My work is being put up in our final show which from on the 18th of june 6-8pm and then is open until the 24th of june. The show is at queens gardens art and design hull, so pop down if your round and take a look.

A few months ago i was watching some comedy panel show and one of the people said on the show ' was is the only way of teaching Americans geography' and i thought this was an amazing quote, and thought it would make a really good poster, and i have just only got round to doing on, i know it needs quite a lot of work, but i am liking the ideas i am coming up with it already.

just playing round in photoshop and illustrator here, whilst listing to james brown, thats where the text has come from. been looking at a range of vintage posters at the mo, and really like how they look so i think i am off to try and do a few posters in that style, this is just a quite 5 min job, but i am liking how it looks

At the mo i have been listening to a lot a braintax and some of the lyrics he has come up with are just amazing, so i have taken a few of them and put them into posters, which i have been playing round with type, spacing of type and images behind the text, some of it works i feel and some does not. There will be some more to come, just trying out a few 1st

Drawing on glass is fun but also hard, i am drawing a brain for my final major project for college
i am quite please how it is coming out, however not sure how i am off to use it yet

T-shirts

Made my t-shirt and i am very happy the way it has come out, i like the effect i have gotten of the faded print. This happened as my image was not a very good black when i exposed it, but i really like the out come of it.

Propaganda

This is a project which i have just finshed today it was too come up with a propaganda t-shirt, so i looked at cctv cameras as i always think you are being watched.
I have used the second image down for my final t-shirt design

Will have pictures up soon, as the effect it has come out on the t-shirts looks pretty cool, as when i was screen printing it not all of the photo emulsion came out so it was quite grainy, so it has a woren feel to it which i realy like.

Here i have got a picture of google images and have edited in the style of shepard fairey i am very happy with how this has come out. I plan very much to do more work like this style, some portraits and posters I think would look good.
Also i am kind of understand standing and getting to like illustrator now aswel.

Drinking

Over the past few months i have been drinking on a weekend and things for just the sake of it and now it has got to that point where i dont actually like drinking anymore. I just dont find it fun anymore to get so fucked off your face you can rember anything from the night before and wake up and want to die because you feel that ill.
So I fell like i am off to stop drinking for a while, 1 it will improve my health and 2 it will save me quite a lot of money and 3 i will have time to do over things because i am not just wasting my day being hungover.
